DataMatrix Systems, Inc. was founded in 1986 to provide integrated automation solutions designed to meet the specific needs of the customer. Initially, DataMatrix served its customer base by designing and developing custom software applications. Very early on though, DataMatrix began to see the need for more of a complete solution rather than just software. The emphasis of the company shifted toward the concept of "An Integrated Systems Approach". Whereby, the company provides not only software, but computer systems, peripherals, communications and the integration expertise to deliver a complete solution. Today, this evolutionary process continues as DataMatrix pursues new technologies and products in an effort to provide the business community with state of the art automation solutions.

DataMatrix employs a staff of very professional systems engineers and program analysts. The development of custom database applications remains a focus with the company. Applications are developed in Visual Basic, Powerbuilder and a 4th generation relational database language called DataFlex. With over 30 man-years of experience in application development, DataMatrix has provided custom software solutions for a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Distribution, Accounting, Financial, Construction, Membership and Public Utilities.
