High Density Data Storage

The Raidium 4200 is designed to solve data storage problems created due to physical space limitations found in today's growing datacenters and computer rooms. Despite its compact 2U rackmount chassis, the Raidium 4200 provides over 2 terabyte of RAID data storage with enterprise class performance and fault tolerant operation. Intel and Sun processor based servers and workstations are fully supported along with corresponding Microsoft, Novell and Solaris/Unix network operating systems. 

Enterprise Features

Four base SCSI channels are provided with the ability to add 2 fibre channels via an optional channel expansion board. Each channel can be individually programmed as a host or disk channel. Fibre allows multi-pathed SAN server connections which drastically lower the Total Cost of Ownership for multi-server networks such as MS Windows/SQL/Exchange, Web/Fax Server Banks and Citrix Data Farms. Full setup and diagnostic information is available through an integrated LCD display, or remotely through the LAN or RS232 terminal port. Additional Raidium 4200 features include Automatic Hot-Standby Support, Email on Error Notification, Dynamic Expansion Support and Dual, Hot-Swap Power Supplies.

Performance Enhanced Disk Drives

Up to nine PerifiTech disk drives can be integrated into the Raidium 4200. Each drive is optimized for array use and specific OS performance, using PerifiTech's patented SCSI Prep utility. This tuning process enhances disk I/O by up to 100% per disk. Through disk optimization, channel balancing and controller tuning, the Raidium 4200 can be customized to provide peak performance for a variety of applications including Oracle/SQL databases, ISP/ASP hosting and streaming video. Keylocks prevent each drive from unauthorized removal and lockable chassis doors conceal all front panel components for added security.

Flexibility and Growth

With support for multiple SCSI channels and nine drive bays, the Raidium 4200 offers unsurpassed scalability for future growth. By using the optional Fibre Channel interface, the Raidium 4200 becomes the storage building block of a Storage Area Network (SAN), providing unrestricted data exchange between other storage devices and servers.
