Server-Based Backup With Emphasis On Performance
PerifiTech's certified drivers for Novell NetWare, Windows, and Linux were developed specifically to enhance the Aero DAT under Computer Associates Brightstor ARCserve. They are not "generic" SCSI tape drivers, and therefore do not have any of the limitations of generic drivers. Each driver optimizes the server's SCSI I/O allowing a DAT to backup at speeds that reach the system's full potential -- without degrading the network's overall performance.
Backing Up Novell and Windows Networks
The Aero DAT 72 Tape Drive is the fifth generation DDS tape drive, built on the success of four previous generations of DDS technology and providing unprecedented levels of capacity, reliability and cost of ownership. The DAT 72 delivers a capacity of 72 GB on a single data cartridge and a transfer rate of 21.6 GB/hr (assuming a 2:1 compression ratio). The Aero DAT 72 tape drive is the perfect choice for small and medium businesses, remote offices, and workgroups.
