Intera Dual Processor Servers are designed around the latest technology: The Dual/Quad-Core Intel^® Xeon^® Processor 5xxx Sequence, Intel^® 5000P (Blackford) Chipset,  dual and quad channel RAID controllers and DDR 2 FB SDRAM.

Superior Performance

Choose from Intel^® Xeon^® Dual/Quad Core Processor options available up to 3.4GHz with Enhanced Intel^® Speedstep^® Technology, Intel^®64  architecture, Intel^® Core^tm microarchitecture, Intel^® Virtualization Technology, Intel^® I/O Acceleration Technology and significantly lower power power consumption. Intera Dual Processor Servers also feature a 1333MHz front side bus and support for up to 64GB of DDR 2 FB memory to host the most demanding network environments and CPU intensive applications.

The Intel^® Xeon^® Processor family is available with 12MB of shared L2 cache. A large integrated cache increases efficiency of cache to processor data transfers, maximizes memory to processor bandwidth and reduces latency. The entire L2 cache can be allocated to one core for processor intensive applications. A server based on the 12MB integrated cache version can further increase Java server performance by up to 16 percent or HPC applications by up to 20 percent. Speed of the cache scales with the processor frequency. Three Bus Mastering PCI-X 133MHz slots and three PCI-Express slots provide full expandability for disk channel and LAN expansion without the performance degradation associated with device loading of PCI Bridges.

Zero Down-Time Fault Tolerance

In Tower or Rackmount configurations, maximum up-time is assured with the ability to replace a failed server disk or power supply, on-the-fly, without compromising system or data availability. Select from 9, 11 or 12 bay towers, 4 or 6 bay 2U racks, or 2 or 8 bay 19" 4U Rack systems. A dual, load sharing, hot-swap power system is standard on all Intera Dual Processor Servers. In the event of a power supply failure, the sharing supply accepts full load until a new power module is inserted. This transparent process provides continuous server uptime.

Intelligent SCSI Device Management

Ultra320 SCSI disk I/O is enhanced up to 170% per server disk through a PerifiTech patented tuning process which is Operating System specific. Intera Server disks are further optimized by using PerifiTech SCSI drivers for Novell NetWare/IntranetWare, Windows 2003/2003R2, Citrix, and UNIX/Linux, which further tune the disk’s enhanced performance to the Operating System.

Unlimited Growth Options

Server design flexibility is achieved through a variety of subsystems and data backup peripherals. RAID Subsystem options include duplex mirroring (Novell), enhanced mirroring (Windows, Citrix, UNIX/Linux), and Operating System independent RAID 3, 5 and RAID 10 (RAID 5 + Mirroring). Raidium Array’s provide 27GB to over a terabyte of RAID data storage.

Other options include high speed tape backup solutions, available in DATand SDLT formats with capacities over 1TB. With a full range of Computer Associate’s Brightstore ARCserve client agents, PerifiTech supports Novell, Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, SCO, and SGI. Backup all platforms across the LAN at maximum LAN bandwidth. Backup and restore speeds are optimized to reach up to 1GB+/min using PerifiTech's enhancement drivers with ARCserve.
