Intera Quad processor Servers are designed to provide scalability while offering a variety of options to match performance, technical and budget requirements. Choose up to four Intel^® Xeon^® Processor 7xxx Sequence for maximum network processing headroom and enhanced graphics capabilities. These systems feature the Intel^® E8500 chipset to provide unsurpassed speed and performance, while remaining backwards compatible with all current operating systems and applications.

Superior Performance

Building on PerifiTech's experience in PCI and SCSI enhancement technology, the Quad Processor Server is not only supports quad processors, it is Dual-Core Intel^® Xeon^® Processor 7xxx Sequence ready. With processor options to 3.5GHz with up to 16MB of level 3 system cache available, select the power that matches your needs and upgrade with additional processors in the future. Quad Processor Servers also feature a 1066MHz front side bus and support for up to 64GB of hot swap DDR2 memory with ECC support, to host the most demanding network environments and CPU intensive applications.

Up to 16MB of Level-3 cache improves performance by allowing the 4 processors to pool cache so one processor may temporarily lend it's cache to another processor. Speed of the cache scales with the processor frequency. Seven PCI expansion slots provide full expandability for disk channel and LAN expansion, via 4 separate 64 bit PCI busses.

Zero Down-Time Fault Tolerance

Maximum up-time is assured with the ability to replace a failed server disk or power supply, on-the-fly, without compromising system or data availability. A load sharing, hot-swap power system is standard on all Quad Processor Servers. In the event of a power supply failure, the sharing supply accepts full load until a new power module is inserted. This transparent process provides continuous server uptime.

SCSI Enhancement

Ultra320 SCSI disk I/O is enhanced up to 170% per server disk through a PerifiTech patented tuning process, which is Operating System specific. Quad Xeon Server disks are further optimized by using PerifiTech SCSI drivers for Novell NetWare, Windows 2000/2003, and Linux/UNIX, which further tune the disk’s performance to the Operating System.

Unlimited Growth Options

Server design flexibility is achieved through a variety of subsystems and data backup peripherals. RAID Subsystem options include duplex mirroring (Novell), enhanced mirroring (Windows, Linux), and Operating System independent RAID 3, 5 and RAID 10 (RAID 5 + Mirroring). Raidium Array’s provide 73GB to over 3 terabytes of RAID data storage.

Other options include high speed tape backup solutions, available in DAT and 1/2" SuperDLT formats with capacities over 10TB. With a full range of Computer Associate’s Brightstor ARCserve client agents, PerifiTech supports Novell, Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, SCO, SGI and OS/2. Backup all platforms across the LAN at maximum LAN bandwidth. Backup and restore speeds are optimized to reach up to 200GB/hr using PerifiTech's enhancement drivers with ARCserve.
